MMSD Digital Gas Dilution System

The Merlin MicroScience manual gas blender MMSD generates volumetric gas blends using calibrated flow restricting orifices. Two gas streams may be blended to any predetermined mixing ratio. The MMSD is a 100% type 316L stainless steel gas blender, without potentially contaminating polymeric seals in any gas flow paths. The blender's efficient operating principle can produce single step dilutions of 10,000:1 while

consuming less than 1.2 liters/min. total of diluent gas. The inherent low gas consumption and high dilution ratios obtainable can economically extend the use of common "ppm" level calibration standards to the "sub-ppb" range. This dilution system may configured for use with VOC standards and incorporate a humidification device for the diluent to provide humidified VOC dilutions for calibration of multi-component analyses such as the analysis of Ozone Precursors in ambient air systems. It can also be equipped with relay activated valves for the automatic introduction of check standards into the analytical system. The system can also be configured for use in high purity gas systems providing less than 10 ppb atmospheric contaminants. Systems can be calibrated for single gas matrix or multiple gas matrices upon request.
