Field Technician

This position is essential to the success of our Air Monitoring business. Our professional staff works as a team to produce quality analytical results for our prestigious customers.

Eligible candidates should have working knowledge of the following:

  • General knowledge of gas handling equipment including regulators, flow controllers, needle valves, vacuum pumps, compression and pipe fittings
  • Experience in gas chromatographic analytical methods
  • Working knowledge of statistical data handling techniques used in the calibration of analytical equipment
  • Laboratory Data Acquisition Systems in general and Perkin Elmer Totalchrom Data system specifically
  • Strong computer skills including working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet usage

Field Tech duties include but are not limited to:

  • Routine visits to monitoring sites to monitor supplies and equipment required for continuous monitoring activities
  • Calibrate and Maintain Field Chromatographic Instruments
  • Use effectively and understand Perkin Elmer Totalchrom Data system software
  • Make appropriate entries into instrument logs, control charts, calibration records, and monitor system performance on a daily basis
  • Analyze Data and Prepare Professional Reports of all Results
  • Assembly and test equipment used in monitoring activities
  • Repair and test equipment used in monitoring activities

Reliable automobile and valid Texas drivers license is required for this position.
